'Many and sharp the numerous ills
Inwoven in our frame!
More pointed still we make ourselves -
Regret, remorse and shame!
And man whose heaven-erected face
The smiles of love adorn,
Man's inhumanity to man
Made countless thousands mourn.'
Robert Burns Man was Made to Mourn.
We will always do things that make us condemnable but art, is the outlet for what potential there is for perfection. Art and love, but even love can be a cloak for 'Love covers a multitude of sins'. Love is always imperfect and prejudiced but art can have the feeling of absolute perfection, so can architecture, music, poetry.
How do they do that?
